Ramey Kemp Associates (RKA) Announces Jeff Bragdon, PE, PMP as Chief Operating Officer
RKA has promoted Jeff Bragdon, PE to Chief Operating Officer to oversee and manage the overall operations of the firm. This move will strengthen and support RKA’s strategic plan to expand the firm and its services across NC, SC, and VA.
Over the better part of 2022, Mr. Bragdon served as RKA’s Director of Virginia, bringing with him 25 years of experience in transportation engineering, land development, and project management. Jeff has proven his ability to promote collaboration amongst team members and across the industry.
RKA’s Virginia operations have grown exponentially under Jeff’s leadership and will continue to grow with this new promotion. Mr. Bragdon has built lasting relationships with the DOTs, various municipalities, and other transportation firms, in support of their respective initiatives.
Jeff has formed several professional relationships across the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as in North and South Carolina. His experience in expanding RKA’s portfolio in Virginia will afford him the opportunity to do the same within other business areas and service lines offered by RKA.
Throughout his career, Jeff has managed quality and promoted collaboration across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients. Before coming to RKA, Jeff served in the role of Program Manager of Engineering Consultants and Associates for the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA). In this role, Jeff acted as the primary staff liaison between the VTCA’s membership and contracting agencies, to ensure processes and procedures were improved.
Jeff also served with the Virginia Department of Transportation as the Hydraulics & Utilities Engineering Program Manager for the better part of the decade. In this position, Jeff oversaw the administrative, budgetary, and technical efficiency of hundreds of projects, and served multiple contract management and policy-making roles.
As we look ahead to the New Year, RKA continues to grow and develop. We are more than happy to welcome Jeff into this new role, and we look forward to new opportunities with our partners.
