Project Overview
The Town of Garner requested that RKA provide drainage and erosion improvements for McCuller’s Road. RKA coordinated with the NCDOT to obtain approval of encroachment agreements and driveway permits. The roadway drainage system included approximately 1,500 LF of curb & gutter with 2,500 LF of pipe and 28 structures at an estimated construction cost of over $160,000 for the drainage portion of the project. Design included spread analysis for 1,500 LF of curb & gutter as well as median ditch design for Fayetteville Road and detailed analysis of area drainage where median crossovers were converted to leftovers with the use of concrete islands. Garner residents that drive on McCuller’s and Ten Ten Road now experience a safer drive around town.
