RKA conducted traffic analysis, control of access coordination, and turn lane and intersection improvements along NC 98.
Providing access to a major thoroughfare (Dr. Calvin Jones Highway) to accommodate a large development while minimizing impacts to through traffic along the thoroughfare and incorporating a planned Town Road extension through the property.
RKA worked with NCDOT and the Town of Wake Forest to develop a quadrant left turn design to provide multiple access points for the development while minimizing the number of turning movements at each intersection along Dr. Calvin Jones Highway (NC 98 Bypass).
Grove 98 provides a mixed-use development for the Town that constructed the extension of LigonMill Road to provide additional north-south connectivity in this area of Wake Forest.
RKA served as the traffic engineer and transportation design team lead for the project.
