EXPERIENCE

Jennifer Gates is RKA’s Senior Grant Writer.  She coordinates the work plans and timelines of submissions for local, state and federal grant applications. These include FEMA, NHTSA, and Safe Routes to schools(federal/state level). Jennifer also researches and identifies sources of funding for local cities and counties.
Her past work in Private Foundation Funding was crucial in securing over 5.5 million in grant funding for local, state, and federal funding sources. She has experience in Traffic Safety, Injury Prevention, Fire Prevention, Communications(radio), alternate forms of Mobility, and Community Wellness Grants. Additionally, Jennifer has secured Safe Routes to schools and walkable communities’ grants, establishing sidewalks in communities and school areas.
