EXPERIENCE

Jeremy Chapman is the South Carolina Traffic Operations State Lead at RKA. He has 24 years of experience in traffic safety & operations, traffic impact analysis, human factors and vulnerable road user safety, ITS & traffic signal design, MUTCD-compliant design, project management, congestion management, and traffic & transportation education as a consultant, researcher, and educator. Prior to joining RKA, he was an ITS design lead on the I-66 Outside the Beltway project and also taught the next generation of engineers at the university level for five years. He is a Fellow in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and immediate past chair of the ITE Ethics Standing Committee. He serves as a research advisory panel member for the Behavioral Traffic Safety Cooperative Research Program. Jeremy’s PhD in Transportation Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison focused on traffic safety and vulnerable road users. He is a licensed PE in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio, and is also certified as a PTOE and RSP1 by the Transportation Professional Certification Board.
